A must-buy when flying to Sarawak- kek lapis! If you
purchase 8pcs or more, you'll receive a box, and it will be
wrapped for safe cargo transport. I visited twice on
different days. The first evening, stock was low, so I
returned the next morning when everything was freshly
restocked. They also provided testers! Prices are on the
higher side, similar to airport rates, but the quality is
worth it. Highly recommended, especially from Lapis Warisan ,
one of the popular brands.

As a tourist visiting Sarawak, I was curious of the
marketing around Kek Lapis, and the ones from Kek Lapis
Mamasu do not fail to disappoint. At first, it just tastes
like an ordinary cake, but after few more bites, it's
addictive. The sweetness in the cake is just about right.
Its soft, fluffy and you can feel it melt in mouth after a
point of time. It is not right to compare it to cakes from
west or other Asian countries. Kek Lapis Mamasu
provides excellent packaging and they told us that their
cakes last for up to 3 to 5 days depending on the heat.

surrounding area got souvenirs shop. Prices from rm16 to
rm30.

I had one of the servers show me which flavour is which
to try and I am soooo satisfied.
Get the butter options yes they are pricier but the taste is
soooo good. Melts in your mouth. Rich and compact
would definitely be the belacan flavour. I also bought the
butter cake and layered with malt and horlicks.
Delicious, fattening? What ya think? Sedap, gemuk?
